I cannot tell you how excited I am that I was invited to be apart of Evine Live’s Beauty Day event. I really have to thank you guys for that because I had such a successful launch a few weeks ago!
The producer told me it was “Our biggest surprise hit!”
When I created IIID Foundation I would imagine it being on a home shopping network all the time. One of the parts of my imagining was picturing me hanging out with all of the other entrepreneurs back stage swapping products and talking beauty. So many times when you picture something and then do it, it turns out TOTALLY different that you imagined. This was not one of them. Guys, it actually goes down like that!
In fact I decided to share some of my very favorites from this event with you guys and the beauties behind the brands wanted to give each one away to one of my readers!
So here’s the low down:
1. Salon in a bottle.
Ok so as we’ve discussed I’m a natural blonde (dirty dishwater style) or at least that’s what my hair follicles think. I’m actually quite sure I was meant to live life as a brunette. Problem is I get regrowth in about 2.5 days. Like a 5 O’clock shadow but for hair that matches my skin and makes me look like I’m balding. So having a root touch up product is IMPORTANT. I’ve tried so many though, that really blew it. This one is AMAZING. It gets the product right where you need it (rather than spraying it onto my forehead and making me look like a chimney sweep) plus it doesn’t get gross or gritty. It matches my hair texture and, if anything, just adds a bit more body. Total win.
2. Beekman Boys Facial wipes.
Ever since I switched over to oil cleaning I’ve been avoiding any facial wipes I used before because I can feel the drying they do. SO I was THRILLED to get my hands on these babies. They clean my face without clearing out all of my moisture. I can feel and smell the quality. Not to mention the guys behind the brand are soo great. I fell in love with them instantly.
3. Maskcara IIID Foundation.
The beauty Day picked definitely would not be complete with out my baby, right!? It’s going to be going for an absolute steal so get your mitts on this while they’re in stock!
4. Minetan.
I’m a self tanning enthusiast, yes. But I’m also a self tanning snob. If it’s even a little stinky/orangy or streaky I don’t even pay it a lick of attention. This stuff is SOOOO cool! It’s a mousse with a mitt (my favorite delivery style) but it’s also genius because it lets you pick the tone you want! I’m a sucker for anything olive so I go for the green but they also have a violet and an ash base for a different effect! This is an awesome product.
5. Consult Beaute Volumagen.
So…do you by any chance watch Botched on E!? Cause I do. (Guilty pleasure?) and I am in love with Dr. Dubrow (in a totally platonic way) He is so funny and really helps his patients look a ton better and feel better too. Even the crazies. So I was really intrigued to try his products! So far this one is by far my favorite! I feel like as I’ve gotten older I really need a little more volume or bounce in my skin and I’ve totally noticed a difference since I started using it!

It took me a long time to use it right – I mean a long time – but now…it has replaced my urban decay foundation and my NARS concealer…and I loved that NARS concealer! I was so impressed with the luminizer that I tossed out several others that I had! As a mother on a budget who gets ready for work with a toddler in the bathroom with me most mornings, I so very appreciate having four products in one compact case. We are travelling this summer and your IIID foundation is already on my packing list – I have been waiting for walnut to be restocked to put in a new order! Running out puts me into a panic 🙂

My roots grow in faster than Kara says hers do and when I get in the sun I go from a bluish-white to RED, to pink, and then sadly blueish-white again. Al the tanning products I have used leave me looking like an ompa lompa.

Usually when I use them I end up washing my face again and then over moisturizing to try to make for it. Doesn’t save any time and wrecks my face!
