A while back I ordered a bunch of ingredients to start making my own makeup.
Most all of the ingredients I needed I had never heard of before and couldn’t even pronounce.
Which is why I was a little shocked when I read through the formula for translucent face powder.
Not only were they ingredients I recognized, they’re cheap and in almost every household already.
I was skeptical. So I went to the best selling translucent face powder (bareEscentuals Mineral Veil) and I looked for myself.
So before you go out to replace your powder next time…
I suggest you go to your pantry instead and follow this recipe:
Recipe/Formula:
1 1/2 Tablespoons Cornstarch
1/8 Teaspoon Powder Foundation *Optional (this just adds a touch of color for a little extra coverage otherwise it will just go on translucent)
Directions:
Stir all ingredients together and store in a used (and washed) powder container or a mint tin.
And since this recipe will cost you all of about 5 cents you’ll have $19.95 left over to:
