Hazel Hazel Hazel

At last, Hazel eyes!

I decided to go for something warm and fresh to compliment those hazel beauties! Although, I am pretty sure that since your eyes are both brown and green you are also use each of those tutorials depending on which color you want to bring out that day.

Double threat. Some girls get all the luck.

I used:

SEPHORA Eyeshadow in Indian Summer
LORAC Pro Palette
Maybelline Lipcolor in Disco Pink
CoverGirl Perfect Blend Pencil in Mink
Urban Decay Afterglow Glide-On Cheek in Tint Quickie

Hi, Cara…would you consider doing another hazel eye with more purple/gray and less brown? The purple makes the green in my hazel eyes really pop since it the opposite of green on the color wheel. Just a suggestion. Love your blog so very much…but please stop recommending products! Every time you do, I buy it!

Omg your hair!!! I have to be honest, I was still secretly preferring the black (looking at the before/after photos from the last blog) but seeing the blonde *live* I am stunned and converted . It makes you look softer somehow, gentler. Lacy is a magician! And you have the most versatile beauty, gorgeous with any hair or eye color.

Oh and I have green eyes but I am totally going to try this tutorial’s look. So soft and perfect for daily wear. Though I second the request for a purple (or a mauve-ish) tutorial as well as those I think look great on green, hazel and brown eyes alike. But purple is so easy to do wrong and turn out looking silly. We need your help .

  4. I totally agree with Sena! I LOVE the black and just did mine that way – but seeing your hair in a video really made it click! I love it. I also have green eyes and am totally going to try this as soon as I can! And Christian is to die for!!!!!

Beautiful! I love this! I just got some mineral hygienics eyeshadow in almost the same warm orangey color, & having hazel eyes this post definitely makes me more confident and excited to try it! Thank you again for another great post!

  8. Penny says:

Wow, no eyeliner? Not even a brown smudgy liner? I keep reaching for the liner! Looks great on you!

So now with your blonde look, did you have to change everything — your eyebrow pencil color, your foundation color, your HAC colors, etc., etc.?

What a lovely tutorial! Thanks from one of the many hazel-eyed out there! I agree with the comments…I love the boldness of your dark hair, but the softness of the blonde (and this makeup in particular) is fresh and inviting and somehow softer. I like the more subdued eye as well. Can’t wait to try it. And I agree with Allison, I’ve amassed tons of new products since I started following your blog. My challenge is to find an equivalent until my backlog is used up…which should take…years!

hi cara, thank you for your great posts. i know you from pinterest and follow you there… i’m sure many readers are truly grateful for your ‘blonde’ posts. and i totally understand the need and want for change every now and then. however, i personally LOOOVE your black hair and blue-ish/green eyes. i think you look stunning with that. plus, in my opinion, you looked happier or more content before….. you’re pretty and sweet no matter what haircolor or eyecolor you choose, but would you PLEASE consider coloring your hair back to black? greetings from across the ocean in germany, love tanja (pronounced just like ‘tanya’ btw)

I love, love, love your blog! although I think I’m shopping for your makeup colors every weekend Your very talented and beautiful to boot! I have a question for your hazel eye tutorial, if my color tone is cool, would the orange-bronze shadow not be a good choice for me?

Cara, My daughter just shared your blog with me. I am 53 years old. I am 5’6″ tall and wear a size 12 dress.
Right now my hair color is brunette. I have blue eyes. I get lots of compliments on my eyes and hair, however, I feel ready for a change. I want to go gold blonde with a few low lights. At this point I am touching up my roots every three weeks and then another 3 weeks full coverage and cut. Any questions I should be asking myself before starting on the journey of blonde?
