Love this! You look gorgeous as always!
Noticed your fun necklace! I’m a stylist with stella & dot and would love to share our new spring line with you.
Hey cara I have freckles reddish brown hair brown eyes and glasses with fairish skin. I wonder if you could do a make up look for that? Thank you and I really enjoy reading your blog
Love it! Especially sweet Christian at the end! Such a stud.
Thanks!! And now my little girl has a crush on your sweet boy! We had to watch twice just so she could see “that cute boy”!
Excellent, as always. My eyes are brown-ish with flecks of goldish-hazelish and I’ve always wanted a nice, natural look. Can’t wait to try this. I love how you mix products for uses. Nice “meeting” Christian!
As a brown-turning-green eyed girl, I LOVED this video… and my 1 year old LOVE seeing Christian. He heard his little voice and came running over to my laptop to see him. Too cute!
Oh! And I forgot to mention…. I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve taken a picture of my computer screen when you show us what products/brushes you use. I’ve bought so many items you’ve mentioned and loved them all! Thanks so all the info!
Awesome – thank you! Love that you have made it look natural and beautiful. Can’t wait to try it out and see my baby greens pop!
Oh. My. Gosh. Your child is so stinking cute!!! It makes me so excited to hear my 10 month old when he starts talking Also, this post is awesome. I love this natural look. Have you done one for hazel eyes? I haven’t found one yet, but I’m in the market for one.
I second this. Hazel eyes do “okay” with green eye or brown eye makeup – but they don’t seem to POP the way you are able to make them with the other tutorials.
Love all your tutorials!! Will you be doing hazel eyes, as well?
Thanks for the tutorial! Gotta say I’m lucky to have naturally long curly eye lashes so I have no need for extensions! And I’d like to add for all you green eye’d beauties out there, if you do want to wear color you can wear any color but blue and it looks great!
Where did you get the watermelon lip gloss and what is the brand?
been patiently waiting for this! thank you from NZ! loved Christian at the end
LOL this look uses bronzer as the eye shadow, lip butter as the blush, and eye liner as the lip contour! I just love how playful and creative you get with your products! My friends and mom are always lamenting that I’m too lazy (and bored) to put on make-up to draw attention to my “gorgeous” green eyes or other features. Then I found your blog and you make everything seem like a fun experimental game (especially the multitasking for products and making your own products). Makes me want to try it all! Oh and you don’t promote that awful mask-like, 10-layers of stuff look I see on the streets and in magazines. And you don’t use products that cost $30 a piece. Thank you for bringing the fun back to make up for me, and for your great advice and attitude!
Btw would a HAC-ing bronzer work for the eye shadow in this look? I followed the link to the L’oreal True Match Powder but it leads to Colored Contacts instead.
Love your blog, Cara! I found it via Pinterest a month ago and have read the WHOLE thing! My hubs got me a Ulta gift card for my birthday – I bought tons of stuff using your recommendations. I really like the products you recommend and I USE them!!! They don’t just find their way to the bottom of my makeup drawer. Thank you! Can this green eye look be considered a hazel eye look, as well? Or would that be slightly different? Thanks again for blogging!
I don’t recall ever leaving a non-giveaway post on a blog page, so this is my first! I just wanted to take a moment to thank you so much for this website, your excellent tutorials, and just how approachable and accessible your methods and recommended products are. I’ll admit that I am not terribly confident about how I look, but your site is giving me the confidence to play with my looks more and it is paying off–I started HACing and using the blue eyes (mine are green, so I cannot wait to try out this one!) tutorial this week and have been positively showered with compliments this week. I really appreciate what you are doing here! Also, on an unrelated note, where did you get that lovely necklace?
Love the post!! I have been using the blue eye look until you did this one…my eyes are a blue-ish green… but this sounds perfect, and EASY! I have tried so many more make up things since starting to follow your blog, I am amazed! You make it so accessible!! Also, I have been blonde for most of my life. 2 days ago, I went dark (a little darker than i meant to) on the spur of the moment, and now I am finding my blonde makeup looks washed out a bit with this hair change!! Any quick suggestions?? Thanks again for making makeup fun again, instead of a dreaded routine! And Christian is an absolute doll-baby! He couldn’t be any more precious!!
I absolutely LOVE your post!!!! Keep them coming!!!
Yay! I can’t wait to try this look! Thank you for all the awesome tips and tutorials!
I am fairly new to your blog. I found you through pinterest – the first video i saw was your HAC and it was a total game changer for me. I am someone who has loves anything artsy and creative, and always loved makeup, but completely taught myself how to apply it. Funny…every article/blog I ever saw about bronzed ALWAYS said apply to your cheeks, chin, nose…everywhere the sun hits. That’s what I did, so wrong!your HAC tips and tricks completely changed the way my makeup looks, for the better! Love your eye color videos, have an idea/request for you! On the last episode of Shahs of Sunset Lily wore a gorgeous eye look in light purples. (the scene where she is at her office) I think that look is to die for onany eye color. Would love a tutorial, thanks for sharing all of your tips/tricks/info with us!!!
Hi Cara, what is the concealer you used to highlight with?
YAY green eye makeup!!! I don’t wear much eye shadow, but I’m so excited to start. Thanks for tips! Love this blog!
Okay so I just came over your site from BarefootBlonde and I read the post about jealousy (love it BTW and can totally relate!!!) but then I clicked back to the front of your site and a picture of you popped up and I am blown away. How can you be jealous!? I mean, I know there are ways you can be because we all get that way some time or another. But, seriously..YOU ARE STUNNING!!! Your eyes are absolutely GORGEOUS and I would die for them!!! Your hair is phenomenal and your overall physique is TO DIE FOR. I mean, I understand the jealousy thing and no matter how often you meet someone who tells you you’re beautiful, there is always someone else you’d rather be like, rather look like, etc. but I wanted you to know that you are seriously mind-blowing GORGEOUS!!! You have no reason to be jealous…You’re like Megan Fox’s doppleganger!!!! God Bless ya, girl!!! xoxox
Makes me want to get colored contacts! Where did you get your necklace? I love it!
Update: tried this one today and got a compliment from the hubby! Needless to say you made my day! thanks!
Love your blog! You need to do the Beyonce Super Bowl look!
Hi Cara..love your posts…where do you find NYX cosmetics? I’ve heard of NYC, but not NYX. All the best, Jana D.
love love love!!! just gorgeous!
Did you use color contacts?! If so, would love to know where they are from!
I was so excited to go to Target and pick up a few of these things, only to discover…Cherry Tart is discontinued!! Sad day!!
Okay, that little tip about closing your eye and drawing a “circle” around it with your shadow to do the shading underneath…heck yeah! Seriously, I have been trying to wear ANY kind of make up under my eyes since I started wearing make up 20 years ago, and I have never felt like it was flattering. Even with soft shadows. For some reason, when I do this, it just looks gorgeous and soft and perfect. And SO easy. Funny how those little tips can change everything.
What color is your nail polish in this video I absolutely LOVE it!!!!
