I love blue eyes. My dad has the bluest eyes and I love how when he gets all choked up his eyes look like they are glowing.
This look is beautiful on those blues because it’s not too harsh around the eyes (I have noticed it can be really easy to put too much makeup around bright blue eyes) but the pink in the lips and cheeks TOTALLY draw the atention right to your peepers.

Loooooooooooooooove it!! You are so darn pretty!
Thank you!
I don’t have blue eyes, but I’m not a big fan of a lot of makeup and I absolutely love this look, except I super duper suck at eyeliner, and this is exactly what I’ve been looking for! Have you done a tutorial on how to do this eyeliner? If you have, can you point me in the direction please? Or if not, can you? Thank you!!!
Oh my gosh, I feel silly, I’m on my work computer, shh don’t tell and the video didn’t show up at first! obviously now I see it, Sorry Cara, thanks!!
Thanks Sam! Let me know if you try it and how you like it!
Can you do something for green/hazel eyes? I tried your New Years eve/going out eye and thought it was too much for me! Though, that may have to do with being over 40…
Whoops, sorry! I didn’t finish watching to the end before I posted. Green eyes next week. Yay!
haha yeah New Years makeup wash pushing the envelope a bit! Gotta do green, the only one I don’t need contacts for!
Everyday makeup for those of us over 40 would be helpful too…
You’re adorable! Thanks for doing blue eyes! I swear it is hard to find good blue eye tutorials and I LOVE how creative you got with actually changing your eye color! So fun. So so fun.
Thanks Kylee! Let me know if you try it and what you think!
Thanks Cara! My eyes are more of a blue/gray. Would this color combo still work for me? Also, I just bought the Lorac Pro Palette. Which colors on there would be a good substitute for the drug store brands you used? Just so I don’t have to go buy more!
I was going to make the same request. I was convinced by this amazing blog that I needed to get the lorac pro palette and I love it! But I would love to know more ways to use it. I’m also blue-eyed. Love this look and LOVE the maybelline tattoo, so I definitely want to add that to my collection, but having too many shadows/palettes makes me feel overwhelmed and wasteful. Would LOVE more tutorials with that palette.
Thanks for fielding all the requests, Cara…I know you’re only one person!
Thank girl! Love all the posts! Keep em coming!!!!!
What color do u have on your lips? Love the soft pink! I just bought the “petal rebel” u had on in your other photo!
I think in the tutorial and on her list below this blue eye image, she says she uses petal rebel. hope that helps!
I can not WAIT until next week’s tutorial for green eyes! I have green green eyes and always have done my eye makeup somewhat the same for years…I’m excited to see what YOU will do for some different ideas!
PS I loved your brown eye tutorial also and think you look so pretty with the brown contacts! I may have to try them sometime!
YAY!!! So excited to use these tips!!!
Love IT!! thanks for doing makeup for pale skinned bule eyed ladies!!
I don’t have blue eyes but I love this makeup and may have to try it! xxx

First off, I have to say I absolutely LOVE your blog..LOVE..LOVE…LOVE! You have such great information for us everyday women on a budget. I get so excited when I see a new posting online to see what new tidbit you are sharing with us. Having said that, you look stunning in this pic with blue eyes. I too have dark hair and blue eyes so this is a beautiful look.
Hi Cara, I love your blog and look forward to your posts! I have grayish blue eyes. I wish they were bright blue like the ones in your pic. When I wear subtle makeup like you have here, I look washed out. Is there anything I can wear that would make my eyes pop? The gray color of my eyes just isn’t that special and they don’t stand out. Thanks for all of your helpful information!
What is the name of the lipstick again? Live the colors!
Great question! OH I love gray blue! this look would be beautiful with your eyes too, you could even do a with a slightly paler pink and it would be fab too! I would use the Pro Palette Lt. Bronze for the lid and champagne for the highlight! It will have a VERY similar look:)
I love this look too! What colors would you use to create this look if you wanted to splurge and use higher end products?
Hey Cara, I tried this look and because my skin color is so dark it kinda washed me out. What colors would you recommend for a darker olive toned skin?
Thanks, Cara! I love that I found your blog – I have blue eyes and fair skin and am always looking for new makeup techniques…looovvee the lipstick!!
Great video! Can you tell me what color you’re using on your nails? I’ve been looking for a Barbie pink kind of nail
Thanks!
I love this look! Great post.
So clean & fresh! LOVE IT!
Hello,
I came across your blog about a week ago, and am in <3. Your beauty posts are amazing. I tried the HACing and I couldn't get it to quite work for me, but after a while, I think I got the hang of it.
Going to try your Victoria's Secret Hair Tutorial real soon. Sooo excited .
I wanted to run something by you…I have hooded eye's, and was wondering if you could possibly do a tutorial on doing eye makeup for hooded eyes? I've tried watching video's on youtube/reading articles, and it seems like they're never quite right. Figured since you were a makeup artist, you might have the secret lol.
Stacey
I love your tutorials, and am always in awe of your talent. And how freakin’ gorgeous you are. Thanks for the shout out to the blue eyed girls. Question, I use the Colorstay cream liner but i feel like it kind of “leaks” when i put it on the tear line. Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks Jess! I doubt you are doing anything wrong, most liners really won’t stay in there. The best one I have found is the Loreal Infailable cream liner, the other day I literally showered and used makeup remover and still had a tough time getting it out of my tear line. That’s a first!
Just did this look tonight and I must say it another winner!!! Thanks Cara, you rock you gorgeous girl!
Hi Cara I was wondering if you could post a link to the website where you bought your blue contacts. I love that they are light blue instead of the dark turquoise ones you normally see people wear
Have you Tried Mary Kays Liquid Illuminator? its THE best. I absolutely love it! not gritty and it has just the right shimmer, not glittery at all! I think it was limited edition, but you can still get it on Amazon, of course
You are beautiful, thanks for a great tutorial, love everything on your blog I have grey eyes, I never see information on makeup for grey eyes. I struggle knowing what colors to wear. Would love to see a tutorial for grey eyes if you could do one.
Thanks! I just bought the eye shadow and lipstick! Need the blush now also, what color/brand of polish is on your nails?? Love it!
What type of brush do you use for the dream bouncy blush?
Hi Cara! Love this tutorial. I was wondering if you used impression or expression contacts? Thanks!
Hey Cara! So I am struggling to find Hard Candy Luminous Moon Shine, do you know of any good substitutes?
