Olive + Oxblood

Ever try to find oxblood eye shadow?
It’s no easy feat.
Everything I found was either too purple or too copper.
I wanted the red cause it does crazy things to make green eyes look BRIGHT, So I improvised.

Instead I ended up using the same thing on my lips as I did my eyes.
Revlon Black Cherry Lipstick {here} and Black eyeliner {here}
Lined my eyes and my lips with the black, smudged it in and topped them with the Black Cherry lipstick.
The shirt I got at Nordstrom Rack but here’s one the same color that I adore {here}

Sorry if I look mad, I was trying to look cool… I always fail when I try to do anything cool.
Cool is a gene. You are either born with it or you are not.
I was not.

  3. I love this! It would do wonders for my greens eyes – though I’m never as confident in reproducing you looks without videos :/

    I actually have a color from Mac that looks real similar to that one. Found it after seeing it on Carmen Electra. You totally pulled it off this way though!

    hi cara i have a question…i noticed there is an advertisment for lightinthebox.com on your page and i was wondering if you have ever ordered any make up or accesories from there and what did you think of it and the quality? I found a brush set and some eyeshadow that has good reviews but i still wasnt sure if it was what i need or not..

    I just love your blog! So many great tips! And I know its not this post, but the one of your mom was wonderful. What a beautiful woman! I hope you showed her all the great comments she got! And I loved how you showed how much you loved your mom and that you admire her beauty. Wish more people showed their affection like that. Happy blogging!

    I love this look! I also have green eyes and love wearing green because it really makes my eyes pop! I just wonder if this makeup would be as flattering on me because I’m fair skinned and blonde…would it be too much!?

    I have to say, I LOVE your blog! Maybe not so good for my makeup addiction, but man, I love it! To top it all off, you seem SO nice and your tutorials are completely dummy proof!

    P.S.
    you said in one of your videos that’s YouTube-r said you were ugly without makeup. First of all, rude, second of all, not true! Actually, I’ve thought a couple times when I watched your videos before you put makeup on that you look SO pretty without makeup and it’s too bad we don’t see the more natural side of you more often

    Thanks for the great blog.

    I’m a first time visitor to your blog as of yesterday and obsessed. I spent the half the day playing with my face yesterday (mostly HACing) and did this look. I’m blonde and blue eyes although not pale. I thought this look was going to make me look like a hooker, but it was sooo pretty. I felt sexy and is something I would never try as I always go with a nude or coral lip. Thanks for your blog! I’d love to see how you actually do the blending for this look in a video though!

  21. Jill Leaming says:

    you look like Channing Tatum’s wife here! (Her name escapes me). I LOVE LOVE LOVVVVVVE your blog. I am obsessed! You are amazing!

  22. Too Faced actually makes a really pretty oxblood shadow called Cherry Cola. I just recently got it and I’ve not been brave enough to wear it yet until I saw your post! Looks great on you so I’m going to give it a try.
