Before & Afters Makeup

Monday Makeover – Red Hot redhead!

This is the beautiful lady on the other side of the camera in my newest videos.
Janae Godfrey
She’s incredibly talented, beautiful, tall, sweet, funny, creative, trustworthy and kind. Her and her sister Jamie are so magical that Mandi started calling them the Unicorn Sisters.
It’s really caught on around here:)
Makeover Janae

Can we talk about how CRAZY it is that MAC brun even works on a ginger babe!? It’s such a cool brown but as soon as it hits her gorgeous skin it warms right up!

I’m a ginger as well and I’ve been wondering what to use for my eyebrows…It’s good to know that Brun will work for the redheads as well! Thank you for sharing this! 🙂

Okay, I’ve finally found someone that I can relate my nose to! So excited to finally get a better idea of how I should contour mine! And yes, such a knock-out beauty! Gorgeous!

Pink Grapefruit is the blush she was using from the MaskCara compact. I’ve noticed her use it on lips a few times now.

I usually love your make-overs but I have to disagree with the other comments. I think this woman is much prettier with her real nose. Not everyone needs a skinny nose!

I have to agree. She looks beautiful, but she no longer looks like herself. Those lashes are to die for though, lucky her!

I agree! Plus so much contouring leads to a different face… What happens to someone self esteem when it comes off?

Maybe Janae likes her nose contoured though! We should all do what makes us feel best; if some want a more natural look that’s fine, if others want to contour themselves every which way then that’s not wrong. It’s their face!

WOW! What a babe! I love that you filmed a video. I love love love to watch makeovers. Janae is stunning to begin with, for sure; with only a few products she’s simply breathtaking.

Wow, I’m a redhead too and love seeing how you do makeup for us. This is amazing!! I need to get that shadow! And those eyebrows are killer! I was surprised to see that you used a pink eyeshadow because I feel like I’m always trying to cover up all the pink hues in my skin, but it looks great. Good job!

*also redhead* I usually try to cover up pink in my skin, too, but my eyelids are more purple/blue so I usually use warm browns and peaches there.

Ugh, this makes me really excited to play with my palette. I keep saying I just need a half an hour to play with it but I never think to do it when my kiddo is napping.

I actually find that I need to use something cool in my brows. Even though they’re pretty red but warm brow powder looks super unnatural on me. Brows are so tricky!

Not a fan of black liner and mascara on redheads. Even applied by an expert on a gorgeous model here, it’s a little bit harsh and not something I generally do even for a night out. I do love that the makeup went down the neck a bit since the MaskCara stuff is a little too dark for porcelain skin and I’ve been fighting with an ironic mask effect.

I like that she took it down her neck some…I also look like I’m wearing a mask if I put contour on the outside of my face. It was so fun seeing you actually applying the makeup. So much can get lost when its just picture!

Cara, I used your first generation makeup and my skin is too oily, it didn’t hold the product for long. I want to ask what products you would recommend for contouring, and highlighting for oily skin. I’m a medium/olive complexion.
