Before & Afters Makeup

Makeover Monday – Abby

Have you ever seen a more beautiful set of eyeballs in your life?!
This is Abby. She is lovely and I had such a good time chatting about babies and making her over the other day.
She was feeling like she’d gotten into a rut and she was dying for something fresh in her makeup routine!

What I used:

IIID Foundation in sunlit (highlight) + walnut (contour) + pink grapefruit (blush & lips)+ pearl (illuminator)
I blended it all in with the beauty blender and it re-reminds me constantly how glorious a sponge can be.
Also I have a bunch of different kinds of alternates and I’ve yet to find one that is as soft and cloud like, and its the softness that makes all the difference! It blends the makeup to pure flawlessness instead of moving it around or buffing it off.

OCC Sebastian Lip liner to contour her lips

Esqido False Lashes in Miss Dolly  lashes really drew attention to the sapphires in her eyes

Brun mac eyeshadow on his brows

Using Mocha from the Naturally Pretty Palette I lightly swept some shadow around her lash line top and bottom.

***OK so I’m getting together some REALLY fun stuff for mother’s day and I need some help!
One of the things I’m planning to do is a series of mother’s day makeovers and phtooshoots but I need some lovely deserving moms that will be in the SLC area and available next friday afternoon (Arpil  24th) for a makeover.  Please shoot me an email at [email protected] with the subject MOTHER and let me know why this mother is inspiring and beautiful. ***

PS be sure to check out the #swiftestmakeup hashtag on instagram and youtube. it’s a delight!

I LOVE seeing your make over, such exciting results! Thought…..I think it would be super helpful if you showed a third picture of the work mid-“hac”ed. Like, the unblinded stripes of all the highlighting and contouring that you are doing. So we all get a feeling of how that comes together?

Do you use the sunlit as an under eye concealer, too? Also – do you use any sort of setting powder? I just ordered my first HAC kit…was inspired by this makeover and got these exact shades, hope it works with my skin tone. Thanks, Cara!

She is gorgeous before the makeover! I love your makeovers because no one ever looks overdone and they are usually everyday looks. Than you for doing makeovers that people can actually use at work!

    Those lashes…to die for!!!

I would also like to see how to blend the blush so perfect. Her cheeks look amazing!

You have such a gift. Each time I click on one of these I am so amazed at how you make someone’s natural beauty really shine through. She looks exactly like herself after the makeup but her best qualities are perfectly enhanced. I wish you lived near me and could do my makeup every day. ;P Great work once again!!

I really wish I had gotten the pink grapefruit blush instead of the hot pink color. But I really dont want to spend money on buying another blush and paying shipping for one product. So sad 🙁

Hi Cara, Will you be posting a video of this makeover? The nose contouring is ah-mazing! One could say it’s photoshopped 🙂

Cara! I purchased sunlit and I have tried it for about a week now, but it looks like I have jaundice. I’ve tried blending with a brush and the beauty blender. Suggestions?! Do I need a different highlight color?

Too bad you aren’t coming to AZ for the makeovers. I am in such need of one. Being a mom can drain all of the glamour out of you. Beautiful makeover!
