Friday Favorites

Friday favorites!

I remember being a teenager and talking to my dad and thinking all the time that he didn’t know what he was talking about (I know I’m so ashamed!) The older I get the more I see him as a person. Not just a dad. The more I know him, the more I love him and the older I get the more I think he knows exactly what he’s talking about. I feel like taking the time to listen, really listen to people and really try to see them, the more you can’t help but love them.

Is this a scarf or a blanket? Cause either way, I’m on board.

Vivian does it again. I love this look and I’m so thrilled she the new palette in it!

Billy was short on 3-6mo clothes so I headed to target and they had some really cute tops and bottoms for only 5 bucks a piece! Check em out if you have littles!

Did you have favorite looks from the Golden Globes? I LOVED Emily Blunts hair the most.

These earring are COOL!

Love you guys! Have a fun weekend!

What an awesome quote. I feel like sometimes I’ve got to stop and remind myself that the cashier, the barista, the waiter, the boss are all just people and to not get in a habit of treating them like their “role” and instead treat them like a person. Hope you have a great weekend!

This is so true! My grandad was the strong, silent type and SO wise. I loved talking to him and asking his opinion on things. He always thought before he spoke and everyone knew this about him, so when he spoke people listened. He was such a fascinating person. He and my granny were recently killed in a gas explosion and I miss them terribly! I’m so glad that I realized before he was gone what a special, wise person he was and took the time to talk with him. Thank you for the reminder.

Hi Cara! I’m wondering what makeup technique you used in WORLD COOLEST CURLS? Love it, and the curls. Thanks! 🙂

Stand up and preach, girl! 😉 Not only has this totally been ringing true with my parents as I’m maturing, but also as a new aunt, I’ve just lately been realizing how much my own aunts actually did for me and how much they cared. To say I’ve just started to really see them is such an accurate description. Love, love, loved this post!

Love the first paragraph about your relationship with your dad. Wish I could’ve had something like that..

So, I’ve been following your blog for a long time and LOVE it. You are very inspirational to many women of all walks of life. I just wanted to give you some feedback on my reaction to this post, as i know blogging can be difficult. My best friend has a blog in which i help edit for her, and she’s always looking for constructive criticism. With having a new baby, i’m sure you’re incredibly busy. However, when i read this post, it started out so deep and thought provoking, but there was no transition after that thought. Then, i felt the rest of it was just a couple of things to throw in and call it a day. I was a little disappointed. It wont stop me from visiting your blog, just a few thoughts from someone who loves watching you succeed. Have a fantastic weekend!

I totally see what you mean! Thanks for your feedback! One of the reasons I started friday favorite posts was i found i had a lot of things i wanted to share that weren’t enough for a whole post so i thought id bring them together! I can see how in this case it seemed a little thrown together though!

That scarf/blanket looks incredibly cozy! Add a cup of hot cocoa and I’d be set!

I love those bright yellow Kendra Scott earrings and the other amazing colors they come in! I especially love the light understated Slate Gray, the Chalcedony, and the Turquoise. And the Red Tiger’s Eye! Love the quote, too! It applies to every single human being on the planet. Most definitely.
