New Years Eve Makeup

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas! I didn’t even intend to take that week off but I was enjoying the time with my family so much that week FLEW by. Total whirlwind.

I’m pretty excited to show you Jarica’s Glam makeup (if you didn’t see her natural makeup makeover check it out HERE)

I hear people tell me all the time that they can’t manage to master the DARK eye look and I’ve watched a bunch of youtube videos where the artist is just effortlessly making it look so simple with their perfect precision but I don’t have that skill! So if you’re just a regular lady who wants to know how to do it, this video is for you.

What I used:

Amazing Cosmetics Anti-Aging Primer
Make Up Forever HD Foundation
Urban Decay Primer Potion
Noir from It Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Palette (any matte black shadow will work!)
MAC Brun
Esqido Amp It Up Lashes
Lorac Cobra Mascara
OCC Cosmetics Lip Liner in Sebastian
MAC Lipgloss in Pink Nouveau
Maskcara Contour Foundation in Stone
Maskcara Contour Creme in Shadow
Maskcara Blush in Dahlia
Maskcara Highlight in Sunlit

Beautiful, I haven’t ventured into a look like this on myself but always think it’s beautiful on others. I’ll have to try!

She looks gorgeous! Thank you for this tutorial. I have a question, do I need to use powder to set the foundation?I have watched a few of your videos and noticed that you don’t use any. Will the make up stay in place? Btw, I love the effect you get with the highlight and contour.

I often use setting spray but we live in the desert and most of my clients are fairly dry which is why I avoid using powder to further add to the dryness! (Thank you!)

I’m still scared to try this with black eyeshadow but I might attempt a similar look with a dark brown shadow and see where that takes me! How do you deal with the fallout under her eyes as you are applying the shadow? I always end up looking like a raccoon at first and have to clean it up with a makeup wipe before I can continue.

Dark brown would be a perfect way to ease in! I usually do the eyeshadow before foundation on looks like this! If nothing else I always highlight in the end and sometimes do a little wiping (like you) before that!

Excited to see the new makeup and get a chance to use it!

One thing, can you change the settings so that we can go full screen when watching your videos and stay on your site? The only way to do it now is to go to youtube, and then go full screen from there. Just a suggestion.

    Happy New Year!

I was really confused because the product list only has black eyeshadow and you used the other one right at the end…still pretty though!

This is gorgeous! I love the way you used the vibrant colors on her lips and cheeks really subtly. I think it can be really easy to look washed out or clownish when you do a super dark eye like this.
Do you think any sparkly gel powder formula would work? I have Milani shadow in the right shade.

Thank you! I totally agree! I LOVE the milani ones and they would be perfect (the consistency is almost exactly the same!)

Love the sparkly bronze lids. I had similar NYE make up. I used a Lancome palette but I just started using the Urban Decay face pore minimize primer and it’s makes such a great difference.
