Before & Afters Makeup

Makeover Video – Jarica

Jarica is my new neighbor! She has two little boys and one little girl, her whole family is adorable.
In the short time I’ve gotten to know her I’ve just fallen in love with how sweet and good hearted she is.
I did her makeup for her family photos so I did a really soft natural look.

After she went home I kept thinking how fun it would be to really glam her up so I called the next day to see if she wouldn’t mind coming back so I could do a much more made up look on her as well. I’ll post that one next week!
I think it’s fun to see a couple different looks on the same face…especially one with these bambi eyes.

What color/product did you use for the contour on her cheek and nose?

I wish I could shout from the rooftops: Ladies, stop neglecting your eyebrows! It is absolutely amazing how just a little of powder/pencil can transform your whole face and make you look pulled-together (even with super light makeup on!).

Beautiful! Are you using IT Cosmetics brushes? Which one did you use for the contour shades on her nose and cheeks? I need that in my life (and your makeup!)

Hey Cara, is there a reason why you apply the under-eye concealer after the eye makeup has been done? I always do it the other way, but I am curious if you have some better insight 🙂

    Beautiful as always! Thanks

I think it is so that if there’s any eyeshadow or mascara fallout, you won’t have to fix the concealer.

Is the shadow cream used the same contour shade in your HAC pack or is that something different? I love the look! Wasn’t a fan of the lip color but other than that 🙂

Cara, if you weren’t doing a photo shoot would you still use the regular foundation all over? Just wondering bc I intend to buy your product but want to know if I will need a traditional foundation too.

I loved watching the video. Cool idea to run it fast with the regular speed voice over. I haven’t tried the highlight technique you used on the cheek/capillaries. I’m wondering what product/color to use for myself for that. I’ll have to experiment. And totally buying the setting spray. I’ve needed something for that for ages.

I love looking at the before & after pictures! I wonder what you would do with a natural redhead…I’ve tried multiple make up counters around here & no one seems to know what to do with a redhead! I am always at a loss as to what colors to use…especially lip color.

Cara I love following your Blog!! It is so much fun to see all of your awesome advice and products that you love and coming from a beautiful woman like yourself, I sure do follow it! =) Seems like yesterday we were still in school! Look at us now, all grown up with little families of our own! I have a question for you, I am sure somewhere on your blog you have talked about this and I somehow missed it, but if you remember, my face has a TON of freckles! I have a super hard time finding a foundation for my face! I have been to all the makeup counters and every one of the girls that try to “match” my complexion always say that they are sorry that I just am difficult to match! So please help me find something for my face and something that is not going to break the bank! =/ … Thanks, Caria
