I’ve always been a firm believer in making things from what I’ve already got at home.
My mom wasn’t at all into sweets growing up so my brother and I would create decadent deserts like peanut butter on a spoon dipped in sugar then put in the freezer. I called it “Peanut Butter Surprise.” Was it delicious? Probably not by conventional standards and actually there really was nothing very surprising about it either … It tasted like cold sugar grain encrusted peanut butter but ya know what? it did the trick on calming our sweet tooth and that’s all we were really looking for. ( on a completely side note this just reminded me that we also ate melted cheese on a plate for a snack when we could get away with it, did anyone else do that or are we just super weird?)
I also had a tendency to lose my shoes when I was a kid. Like all the time. Until one summer I lost my only sandals and I knew It wouldn’t be smiled upon to ask for new ones. So I made my own duct tape sandals. And yeah, I did eventually lose those too but it took longer than usual!
Cause I made my own shoes with my bare hands!
What I’m saying is, making stuff is awesome.
And deep conditioners for your hair is a perfect at home DIY option.
