Gold with my girls

I got together with some of my favotire bloggers again for our seasonal COLOR COLAB!
This time the color is gold. Perfect for my recent return to shimmer obsession anonymous.
I was all matte all the time for a while but now I feel like I’ve been on a diet for years and I’m finally off the wagon.
It might be getting out of hand but I figure now (right smack in the middle of the holidays) is NOT the time to be reeling it in.
SO I thought I’d share some of my favorite gilded goodies with you (with budget friendly and splurge options for each) incase you want to join me….I don’t think you’ll regret it!
Makeup Forever Aqua Cream in Gold
Maybelline Color Tattoo in Gold Rush
Backstage Glow
Sally Hansen Leg Shimmer
D& G Gold Gloss
NYX Gold Gloss
Sephora Formula X in Celestial
Sally Hansen Complete Manicure in Golden Rule

I haven’t even seen the whole post on what these girls did with their golden inspiration yet but just from these photos I am really excited to check them out, last time they all TOTALLY blew me out of the water with creativity and I doubt it will be any different this time around:)

Love gold n think gold eyeshadow is prefect for the holidays.

On a different subject I just bought the Heavenly Luxe 6-pc Brush Collection. They have free shipping on any order right now and if you sign up to be a member (which is free) you can use the coupon code: insider and get an extra 20% off.

I am not associated with it cosmetics just been stacking there site for a while trying to get a deal. Can’t wait to try it with my HAC pack. And I’m so completely in love with the liquid blushes (the only part if the HAC PAC I managed to so so far unfortunately) and I’m obsessed. I want all of the blushes now. Your amazing Cara.

I saw the brush set on the IT website too, but I can’t decide if the brush is the same as the one Cara recommended. Is the big one in the set is just a powder brush? It looks “poofier” than the dual ended brush. I could be wrong, but I keep looking at the brushes in the set and the dual ended brush and they just look different.

It is not! I contacted the company and we discussed it over several emails. The fluffy brush in the set is not recommended for cream foundation usage and the other end of Cara’s brush, the rounded concealer, is not in the set. That said I ordered the set before I knew all this and am going to keep it bc at $32 after coupon these brushes are a steal. They look gorgeous. I haven’t used them bc its a xmas gift and I’m not supposed to yet but I’ve touched them and love the feel and look. I got Cara’s brush from Ulta with a 20% off coupon they mail and email to members which is free to sign up. On the Ulta website it says brush is excluded from coupons but that is not the case for the 20 percent member ones. I also had Ulta reward points so used those as well. Hope this helps!

When will you add lip sticks and glosses to your collection? I am loving your makeup so far. I bought the whole set!

Cara I hate to be a bother but if you find time could you do a tutorial or instructions from you Midas Touch post? I bought the Mica Gold as soon as I saw your post and I have no idea what to do with it, lol 😉 Would love to know how to add shimmer to hairspray/hair oil and fingernail polish! Thanks Cara, you rock gorgeous!

It’s the weirdest thing – I avoid gold jewelry, but I’ve recently realized that I really like goldy makeup. Derp! Stardust eyeshadow by Ulta (because I’m super fancy like that) is basically an everyday neutral for me.

This will help me branch out! I lovey love LOVE that Sally Hansen polish formula, so I will be giving that one a try for sure. Yay sparkles!

I’ve always been a fan of sparkly eyeshadow — I use a sparkly beige (Clinique’s Daybreak) every. single. day. It’s a simple way to add a bit of glam to your day!

I’m off to check out the DIY Gift Wrap post now! Jen has so many AMAZING organization ideas! I just purchased a label maker last month after reading about her love for hers haha.

I just bought some of the Maybeliene Eye Tattoo Shadow today in Taupe. It is fantastic for contouring under my cheek bones and jawline. Just do some blending – it blends SO WELL!!! I bought a pretty highlight shade too but can’t remember the name.
