When The Devil Wears Prada came out I think I watched it like 30 times.
Partly because I’m a sucker for makeovers and partly because of the scene where Anne Hathaway gets free reign on the Runway fashion closet.
Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would get that same experience, except the beauty version which is obviously even better.
Now, while I was in the closet, sweating profusely, continuously re-asking Cat if she was “Absolutely sure I can have whatever I want?” I couldn’t really focus.
Instead I just looked for shiny stuff that I knew I couldn’t afford otherwise and shoveled it into the bag.
In other words, most of these favorites are not exactly budget friendly.
However, if you are in the business for a splurge, every single one of these is certainly worthy of that.
1. Cartier Baiser Vole Fragrance
I have been coveting this fragrance for A LONG TIME. At first whiff it doesn’t do much for me but once it hits the skin….it’s heaven and the way it lasts for days….it’s a keeper.
2. T3 One in “Twirl” Professional. (<—-love the name!)
Confession (some of you were already smarter than me and caught this) the curling iron I used in my hairstyle last week….1.25″ not one inch. I AM SO SORRY! It didn’t come with a box and I just made assumptions. My deepest apologies. Still, this curling iron is UNREAL! I might never again use another curling iron as long as I live.
It heats up fast and high. It’s light. The clip is feather weight and makes clamp-crimps much less likely.
3. Shu Umera
I don’t know what’s in it and how it makes my hair equal parts shiny, conditioned and smelling good, but I love it.
Holy expensive though!
4. Guerlain Bronzer
Perfect sunkissed color. Goes on smooth and blends easily.
I got two!…so I figure I should give one away, right? Pin the photo from this post (if you have Pinterest, if not you can post it on any social media outlet, it will still count) and comment that you did!
5. Dior Addict Lip Glow
Emily Maynard wrote on her blog a few weeks ago that she LOVES this lip color. So I had to try it. It is the perfect shade of pink for your particular chemistry and it’s so nourishing it feels like a lip balm. Perfect shade perfect texture…need I say more? (I was wearing it in this photo)
6. Urban Decay eye shadow in Snake Bite
This is a gorgeous shimmery brown. I love UD shadows, they have a wonderful amount of pigment and even the shimmery ones go on true to color.
7. IT cosmetics Double Ended foundation brush
Double sided and PERFECT size for contouring and highlighting. I’m really impressed with the quality of the brush. Everyone who I have used it one so far has been fairly tempted to smuggle it out with them.
8. YSL Lip Stain in 19 Beige Aquarelle
It’s really hard to find a stain that A. does not make your lips dry and cracky and B. is in a light color this bad boy does both. I’m pretty stoked about it.
9. YSL Bleu Majorelle Polish
Love this color. Now if I can only learn to paint my right hand!
10. Ojon Damage Reverse Hair Treatment
OK, I got a sample of this product about a year ago when I was thinking my hair was SUPER dry and brittle. I was REALLY disappointed with it because I felt like it only worsened my issues. That was when my sister first filled me in on build up. My hair actually wasn’t dry or brittle it was just overloaded with protein from the many masks I was using.
Since then I’ve been in need of some restoring much more since I am dealing with bleached hair. With one use I noticed a HUGE difference it the strength and texture of my tresses.
