Before I show you this weeks makeover I have to tell you the dumbest thing that I have ever done!
When I announced the whole Makeover Monday shindig I actually put the wrong email address.
CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT!?
I was hysterical. I kept wondering why I was only getting a few emails to that account and then after I ran into a few people who said they entered but I’d never seen their entry I got suspicious and checked the page. Sure enough, I mixed up the address. Panic attacks ensued.
Emails were sent to the real owner of the account at no avail.
I can’t even think of the many emails with really cool interesting subject lines and gorgeous photos that I missed.
It pains me to no end.
If you sent one before PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE resend it to the corrected address.
[email protected] Which has been verified by a person who is not dyslexic. So not me.
And please forgive.
On to the makeover.
AS you all know I have had Mandi here for the better part of the week. It has been a blast working on my room and learning all kinds of DIY tricks I had no idea about, from the genius of all DIY in home decor. Also she is stunning and I couldn’t help but notice that ALL WEEK LONG.
At some point it was brought to my attention that she was kind of itching to go a little lighter, which I thought was a fantastic idea.
So on the last day she was here, I put a stop to the room makeover and a start to a makeover of my own.
We were kind of going for a Doutzen Kroes (VS model) look.
What I did:
side note: Her blush, contour, highlight & illuminator were all my own formula. ( I know that’s kind of a drag cause you can’t get those yet, but I will recommend the closest thing I can find in the meantime)
First things first I sprayed on some Tomas tanning spray just on her face, neck and chest.
First I used cream blush (like this one) in the apples of her cheeks
Next I contoured around her face, down the sides of her nose, under her cheekbones and beneath her lip.
I also contoured around her eyes with Charcoal brown and a fluffy brush. ( I REALLY love this small brush kit)
Then I used dark brown liner right at her upper lash line and followed with a heavy coat of mascara.
Added some lower lashes (this is a really fun trick that is perfect for getting more out of your eyes without eyeliner)
Filled her brows with Brun (of course)
Then Highlighted under her eyes, down the center of her nose and on her chin.
For her lips I used NYX lip pencil in Natural to define and fill her lips, then I topped them with Lip Tar in Ophelia
For her hair she was telling me that it is always so soft and silky that it just slips out of curls and it’s difficult to get body so I used a really cool DIY trick to give her silky smooth hair a beachy naturally curly look. I’ll show you about that tomorrow!
