Before & Afters Makeup

Monday Makeover

Monday Makeover!

{the Side by Side HERE}

This is Cami, I love her she’s so fun.
I had her come to the appointment with her makeup already on for the before photo because I think she does a really pretty job in the first place, but I wanted to show how a few tweaks could give her a glow and really open up her eyes more. She has hooded eyes which I get a lot of questions on. They are gorgeous but for some girls they can be tricky to apply shadow on.

I’m gonna give you my favorite tips for hooded eyes tomorrow but in the meantime I’ll tell you what products I used on her.

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation
My Concealer/highlighter mix (sorry I prefer to use things you can get but I’m pretty addicted to this!)
Loreal Gel Eyeliner in Blackest Black
Bouncy blush in Fresh Pink
Bobbi Brown Bronzer
Mac Charcoal Brown Shadow for her brows
Trip Falsies from Kiss
Taupe Eye Shadow from Lorac Pro Palette
Revlon Lip Butter in Peach Parfait
And some plumping pink gloss (in dolly)

Hope you love it!
(PS I am FINALLY home from all the travelling with Nick for golf, so I promise to catch up on emails and comments and all of that. I am sooo sorry!)

Your makeovers are absolutely BEAUTIFUL! You are a true artist. I am a Navy Vet and grandmother, can you please tell me what makeup to use. I am 49, olive complexion. Your makeovers are AWESOME! But I would really love to see more women my age to get Ideas I can use. I have dark circles under my eyes, any help I would appreciate. I currently use clinique Matte foundation, and their concealer. The concealer just makes cracks under my eyes. I think it is too heavy!!

Sarah! That is so amazing that you were in the Navy! I would try Nars Sheer glow foundation and Maybelline highlighting concealer (it’s much less heavy than the Clinique version) and don’t worry I am working on some more mature makeovers as well:) Thank you!

Great! They have some awesome new products, like the makeup finishing spray that will keep your look flawless for up to 16 hrs! New skincare line proven to turn back the signs of aging, a microdermabrasion set, a men’s anti-aging line, etc.
I left my website, if you’d like to contact me on anything, or place an order. Thanks for being open to it! After so many years of using the high end makeup, I found out it is made in the same manufacturing facility of some of the top names you’ve mentioned here. Amazing!

AWESOME!!! My mother-in-law and husband have hooded eyes and I am pretty certain at least one of my girls will have the same dilemma. I can’t wait to see your tips so I’ll know what to teach them when they start wearing make-up! She really is lovely, I bet she was thrilled!!

OMG! This makeover blew me away! I can’t wait for some makeup tips for darker skin. Can you suggest a comparable color to the taupe eye shadow you used, but for dark skin? I’m NW45 in MAC if that helps. Thank you!

Isn’t she gorgeous!? I would TOTALLY give you the recipe but it’s actually just the concealer I have been working on with chemists so it’s not even a recipe I can recreate, I am hoping to have it available to you guys really soon though, and of course I will keep you posted on that!

Can’t wait to buy it! Hopefully it won’t be too long. I went today and got a sample of the Stila BB cream and I already have the NYX concealer in yellow (a mix from one of your previous posts). I’m hoping to get similar results to what you created here. Benefit’s Watts Up will probably be my next purchase! I have bought so many of your recommendations over the last 6 months or so and have changed my entire makeup routine because of you (had never HAC’d before and I’m 39 yrs old!) You changed my life…seriously! Thank you!!

Girls! You know I would NEVER hold out on you but it’s a concealer I don’t actually have the recipe for! I’ve been working with chemists on creating it (cause I couldn’t find one perfect enough) so I am hoping to have it available to you guys so soon!

When I saw the first photo I was like “Wait…did she post the ‘after’ shot first?” She looked beautiful to start, but your tweaks took it from an everyday look to really glam, with minimal change! It’s incredible what an impact the small details can make on your whole appearance. Great job!

    Hey Cara,

So I have a question for you, how do you apply false eyelashes withouth having them drive you nuts, they really bug my contacts. Maybe I’m putting them on wrong? Thoughts?

I think in this case clusters are better than strips, which one have you tried or have you tried both?
