Hehe, it took me an hour to get to the second half of the post because I got so sucked into Lisa Eldrige’s videos. I got totally sucked into everything she has for redheads!

I’m definitely going to spend some time checking out Dating Divas. My husband and I have been together for seven years and it’s easy to get complacent.

(Unrelated question: do you have a time frame that you try to get back to girls who email you about make up consults? I know you’ve been crazy busy with eyebrow school and family travel but I’m still crossing my fingers. XD )

Oh my gosh! I’ll be completely honest with you and tell you that I totally didn’t expect the get such a huge response from my makeup consults, I was so excited about it but got completely behind and a little overwhelmed. Then I’ve been out of town for forever so I haven’t even been able to catch my breath! I’m going to be home for a few weeks though after this trip and I plan to do some major catch up on all of that so, please forgive me! I’m hoping to get to as many as possible and at least schedule as many as I can this week:) sorry for the long reply:)

I’m going to be in Vegas in, like, 10 days so I will keep my fingers crossed. 🙂

I love that makeup look. If you try it I bet it would look amazing and I hope you post about it. And if you use products that are easier to obtain and/or are cheaper than the ones Lisa Eldridge uses I would be super grateful. Either way, another awesome post!

Lip Tar is great I just just samples from Sephora but I love them, trying to figure out which ones to purchase first (NSFW and Black Dahlia are great together, apply NSFW first then using the Black Dahlia to darken corners and cupids bow blending inward, soooo pretty) And I totally need Dating Divas, I want to do something nice for my awesome hubby who has been taking care of me (with a horrible head cold) and our four little ones for the past week. Thanks Cara!

Cara, I just discovered your blog a week ago and I’m already addicted! I’m embarrassed to admit how far back I went through your blog the first night I discovered it. You are amazing! I love Lisa E.’s videos too, theyre all so wonderful and I’ve actually tried out a lot of her techniques. I’m just as beauty product obsessed as you are.
Have you (or anyone else here) heard of Ipsy? Or Julep? Ipsy is a monthly subscription and each month you get 4-5 full-size or deluxe sample size beauty products in a cute little cosmetic bag for only TEN BUCKS. I’ve only been a subscriber for 2 months but I am totally in love with it so far. Seems like something you might be into. This is my referral link if anyone is interested in signing up.
Julep is also a monthly subscription. They’re a small company and they send out their own brand products (lots of nail polish) for $20 a month. I love them as well. What’s cool about them is that each month there is a different theme, and you get to choose from four different boxes. If you don’t like any of the products theyre offering for that month, you can just choose to skip without being charged. Super awesome! My referral link for those who are interested in signing up is here:
You can follow that link and enter the code “freebox” to get your first box for free (you just have to pay around 3.95 for shipping).
I have a lot of friends who love beauty products and they got me hooked on these two subscription services. I honestly can’t recommend them enough. Ipsy is awesome for trying out tons of new beauty products that I never would have tried before.
If you want to sign up for these subscriptions I would really appreciate if you used my referral link 🙂

I love Lisa Eldridge’s YT channel! she is so knowledgeable and she instruct in a simple straighforward manner. Her Marilyn Monroe tutorial is great, not only for the make up but for the Marilyn related commentary. Another not to be missed video is her Audrey Hepburn-Holly Golightly tutorial.

Wow, I’ve been watching Lisa’s videos on her page and I’m blown away by her talent. Another thing I’m blown away is by some of the product and prices. Do you think there’s a way to do some comparison on her more popular makeups and find something less expensive?
Thanks so much! And also, you are amazing!!!

What color is the lip tar? I must have it. In the video it says the shade is “rush,” but on sephora, there is only one called Lush. What do you think?

Great post! So important to take the time of making the men in our lives feel they matter. To often we put this relationship last on our list & then wonder why our relationship is suffering! For those of us with sons, the date night ideas might be fun for connecting with the “little men” in our lives 😉
