Stuff I wore.

Calling this an “outfit post” would probably require that I knew how to put a bunch of fancy things together and have it all look good, which I don’t.
I do, however, find cute things to wear from time to time and I like to share those.
For years I really couldn’t buy clothes at all. Now I’m able to buy them here and there but to go from almost nothing to being able to have enough shoes/accessories/basics/etc to make cute outfits all the time seems like an impossible feat to me.
Plus I really only need like 4 or 5 cute items I can piece together for any given season because I generally spend my days in my other attire (i.e.buffet pants and a tee) cause I’m lazy like that.

Blue Linen Boutique
I love this top! It has a really flattering fit and goes with everything! I got it and the comfy green pants at a cute place in St. George called Blue Linen Boutique, ladies in the areas should surely stop by (they also ship anywhere in the US)
Target Shoes
These shoes are incredibly high but magically comfortable. I swear it. Get em at Target for cheap.
White pants! Love this shirt!
I’ve been looking for a pair of white pants that fit exactly like these since February, finally found them via Zara. I used to have this top in purple too, it’s so soft, thin and gorgeous but if you get it don’t be dumb like I was and put it in the dryer. Two words: belly shirt. Get it at Nordstrom. Steve Madden Wedgies.

      June 4, 2013 at 9:46 am

Oh they are incredibly comfy! I should have mentioned it. The leather is really soft and forms to your feet like a glove! The platform is really small though, which looks cute but makes it a little harder to balance. Mostly if you wear them on a golf course…

I just want to say THANK YOU! I am a new mom, and I have felt “a little down” as my old clothes don’t fit and I always look exhausted (well, because I am, I guess). Needing some beauty advice, I came across your site and have loved every bit of it. Call me impressionable, but I went out and bought a bunch of makeup based on your suggestions. I have already gotten compliments, and I even feel prettier. My mom even randomly asked me if I got my eyebrows done by a professional. Nope, I just had some good advice.

    So, basically, you rock.

And…I just ordered the button up shirt from Nordstrom.

Your outfits are so cute on you! Especially the second one. I’ve been looking for white pants that fit that way. I have slender calves so usually they fit too lose. I went to Marshall’s cause they have great prices and found a pair but they bunched up too much. So i’m still on the outlook. The only bad thing about ordering online is you can’t try them on. But you were lucky they fit you so good!

I want to order these white skinnies from Zara. Never bought pants there before. How do their sizes run? I’m debating btw a 2 or 4 …I’m 5’3 about 110. I also love the wedge. I have been on the hunt for the perfect nude wedge! Thanks cara!

Cara! I loved both outfits, they’re so cute! I might have to be daring and by myself the mint jeans (eekkk so nervous, I’m afraid of color!) I did wanted to ask you if you could do a tutorial or have any recommendations for us girls with short hair. I’m getting bored of the same look, straight all the time. I’ve tried curly hair but I end looking like Shirley Temple. What should I do?

    Thanks again Cara! 🙂

Cara, I LOVE that brown t-shirt!! It is VERY flattering with the slight V at the bottom. I tried to find a website for Blue Linen Boutique so I could order one, but I had no luck. Do you happen to have their website link? I REALLY want that shirt! 🙂

BTW, you look gorgeous in both outfits…. but I’m partial to the first one, maybe because I love the top so much!

I really enjoy your blog and have learned so much about makeup application…. especially the highlighting and contouring. I thought I knew a lot… until I started reading your blog. Then I found out just how much I didn’t know! 🙂

Thank you for all your hard work in keeping us looking good!

So, I am completely new to makeup, as I was raised by my dad. I can barely do blush, and eyeliner is HARD. But I’ve been going through your tutorials and loving them. I do have a question. My eyes vary from blue to gray. What kind of eyeshadow colors would you suggest for a subtle look on those grey days?
