Before & Afters Makeup

Makeover Monday.

This gorgeous gal is the twin sister of Nick’s most fun & entertaining unmarried friend, Chris Werme (single ladies in the Phoenix area are more than welcome to stalk his Facebook here. He’s been hinting at a blog shout out for I don’t know how long…)
Her name is Liz, she just had a baby, one I was able to babysit who, at 3 months literally didn’t make a peep the entire two hours. I thought quiet babies were an urban myth until then.
Lord knows Christian was not among them.
I really dig this girl, she was so much fun to hang out with and now I get why Werme talks about her ALL. THE. TIME.
Plus, she’s hot.

I used:

Red Cherry False Eyelashes #WSP
Toma’s Tan Self Tanning Airbrush Spray
NARS Sheer Glow Foundation STROMBOLI
Clinique Even Better Concealer Buttermilk 0.12 oz
Urban Decay Afterglow Glide-On Cheek Tint Quickie 0.14 oz
LORAC Pro Palette
NYX Eyebrow Cake Powder, Dark Brown/Brown
L’oreal Infallible Gel Lacquer Liner, Slate

OH and I ALWAYS forget something!

For her lips I used:
CoverGirl Perfect Blend Pencil Mink
NEW Maybelline Color Whisper in Bare To Be Bold
and some pink gloss in the middle:
NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Pink Frost

This is kind of random but I just wanted to drop by and say thank you… Because of you I’ve totally revamped my makeup routine [and I love it]. I also got the cajones to dye my hair red- like a major transformation. I’m finally going after the look I’ve always thought of and I feel like I should’ve looked like this forever. Thank you for giving me the confidence to try something new! I love your blog!

You are AMAZING!!! I’ve been reading for about a month and am always inspired and encouraged! Any chance you’d do a post on building your makeup bag from scratch? I just bought new foundation – consulted your site in trying to narrow it down – but was still totally overwhelmed by everything out there…primer or no primer? Etc. (Maybe you’ve already done something like that – would love for you to point me that way!) Thanks!

Okay, Miss Cara, Austin is begging you to come and make me over. I am 33 (today, actually), and still look like I am 15: my make-up, my hair, everything. I NEED to be featured on your Makeover Monday! You are so fabulous and inspiring, and thank you for making women feel beautiful. Now, about that trip to Austin…

Wait, is Chris gay? It doesn’t matter but I looked at his facebook and there is a cute shot of him in a bed with another topless male.

      March 12, 2013 at 3:19 am

No, Chris is NOT gay. (not that there is anything wrong with that). Chris went to dinner with his sister and the Killpacks babysat my nephew. While at dinner, Chris’s facebook alerts go nuts. Come to find out, the Killpacks changed my profile pic to two guys in a bed hugging (neither of the men in that pic are me) with a status that said “thank you everyone for your support. it feels great to let everyone know how i feel”. The killpacks are very funny people, but I can’t explain the feeling when your own mom texts you “YOU’RE GAY?”

WOW!! This is AMAZING!!! I remember a post you did a little while ago saying how make-up doesn’t cover our beauty or make us fake looking (paraphrasing ;)) but that it can enhance or bring out our beauty more, and I couldn’t agree more! Your model is gorgeous!! I love how you were able to make her beauty shine!! Love your blog and love your tutorials, you are amazing!!

Does the Tomas Tan Spray leave that color immediately or was it after some time for the tan to develop from the spray?
