Old Souls

Ever get the feeling that someone was meant to be born in another decade?

My little sister Celeste and my cousin Talia are two examples. They are both so graceful and poised.

To me Talia comes straight from the 40′s. She is smart and classically beautiful. Her red hair (natural by the way), bold eyebrows and stunning cheek bones create the perfect canvas for a “Notebook” themed photoshoot.

Modern Day Talia:

The Antiqued Version:

Celeste is soft spoken and sweet. She has icy blue eyes and a perfect pouty mouth. She just cut her hair short so I enlisted my talented sister-in-law Randi to fit her with finger waves and gave her a 20′s-esque make-over. Pretty sure she looks like she came straight from a silent film.

My Celeb!

Every once in a while someone will tell me I look like Adriana Lima. (a great thing to do before asking me for a favor)

I LOVE this compliment….even though I realize a few hard facts:
Things I DO NOT have in common with her:
a multi-million dollar modeling contract with Victoria’s Secret
abs
professional basketball player husband
I could go on…

Things we do have in common:
dark hair
light eyes
the inability to comfortably close our mouth over our teeth.

I may just be a poor man’s version of Adriana Lima…
but hey,
I’ll take it.

Enjoy! Let me know if you have any questions!

This photo is a perfect example of my “mirror face” it’s an involuntary reaction to looking in the mirror. I can not help it. I hope some of you also have mirror faces that look like blue steel from Zoolander. I have seen people do kissy faces in the mirror too, which is just as funny I think:)

I used:
MAC Linen eyeshadow
Smashbox eyewish palette 5 & 6
Black Eyeliner
LA Girl Eyeliner
Ardell Lashes – Demi Wispies
Makeup Forever HD Foundation – 130
Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage – SC 3
Covergirl Perfect Blend (as lipliner) – Mink
Victoria’s Secret Gloss – Taffy Go Lucky
Light Pink Gloss
Smashbox – Artificial Light

Proof Pudding.

In case any of you are skeptical as to the validity of the curly hair lasting for a few days, here is today’s proof.
I used a dollop of gel to scrunch up and some spray for volume. Making your hair last for a few days is good for your hair and good for your laziness. Double threat.
