Bronze Goddess

With summer getting closer and closer some of you might be looking at your pasty white skin with distaste. Although, with the distant promise of premature wrinkles and skin cancer… you may want to supplement your sun-kissed look with some sunless products! These are my favorites. For each type I have a Budget friendly option and a more pricey choice. I have tried it all!

Self Tanner:
Jergens Natural Glow – If you use this stuff daily you really will maintain a pretty good tan, and because it goes on subtly you won’t have to worry about streaks. 7$(Get this at any drugstore)
Giesee – Tan Overnight – My friend Lauren showed me this stuff and it really is amazing. You will feel like you just got back from the Bahamas. $14.50
For my face I use:
Keihls, Sun-free Self-tanning  Formula – It is awesome! Very pretty natural tan and so not greasy. I look sickly if I am separated from it for more than 2 days. $22

Rimmel London , Natural Bronzer in “Sun Dance” – This bronzer rocks and it will only cost you around 3 bucks. Less if you are a coupon-ista. (Get this at any drugstore)
Guerlain: Terracotta – It’s mosaic design gives you dimensional color and a touch of shimmer. Plus you can use the different colors in the pallet for eye shadow. I will warn you now though, it will run you around 50 dollars.

This is my annoyingly pretty sister Rachel, before and after I gave her the tan treatment.
Excuse her ice queen glare, she really was super happy. I just wanted her to look down so you could see the sexy sparkles on her lids!

So I’m loving your blog & all your tips so far but what I really want to know is can you make my eye brows look like yours and your sisters cuz I’m pretty sure I’m one of those girls you were referring to when you said why you started this blog! Ha

Cara! I love your site! Seriously awesome 🙂 I just saw Rachel’s post on Facebook and had to check out the before and after, and while I admit she always looks stunning, you made her tan lol! All the hours spent out by my moms pool never gave either myself, Rachel or anyone else for that matter such a natural, beautiful tanned look like you did! Did you do her entire body? Especially now (again) being pregnant and expecting little boy Liam in August, the peak of the Las Vegas summer the last thing I want is to be sitting in my bikini by the pool but I want that tanned healthy look. I’m impressed and jealous! Keep up the awesome work and now I’ll be checking your site all the time 🙂

Audrey! Congrats on your pregnancy! You are quite the beauty yourself! I haven’t tanned Rachel’s whole body yet but I have done mine! It is still so cold up here so I haven’t had the chance to see the sun! THank you so much for checking it out!

Awe… thank you Cara! I volunteer to be your open canvas any day, I love getting all done up lately and recently dyed my hair black, have been curling it like the latest long curl style, and have been using Bare Minerals, I love the light feel, great coverage it gives you, while adding a bit of color. I was able to actually get some sun the other day out by the pool at my apartment and finally have some much needed color to my face (you’ve got to love Las Vegas lol! Its already nice and toasty here). Its amazing how just a little the look of a tannned complexion can make you feel so much better about yourself, especially when you’re pregnant and could use the confidence boost.
I was actually able to find someone looking for pregnant models for a event in May, sent over some pictures and they’re interested, so I’m looking forward to hearing more about it and possibly participating, especially since this is #4 as well as my last pregnancy so I’m kind of excited.
Hope you guys have a great Easter and keep up the great work! You’re gorgeous and I love your logo ans pictures 🙂

Love your site! I just found it and am hooked. I saw the list of products you recommend, but am wondering what ones you used on your sister – I love the look!

Thank you Katrina. On my sister I used the Guerlain bronzer and the Kiehl’s sunless tan. If you want to recreate this look don’t be afraid to layer on the bronzer, then keep the rest of the face pretty neutral. Browns and tans on the eyes and a sheer creamy pink gloss to top it off! Let me know how it goes!

Do you still use the Kiehl’s tanner on your face? Or do you use your overnight tan I’ve read about more recently on your whole body and face too?
